Formats of Lectures/Workshops

There is flexibility in the format of these presentations with some popular designs as follows:

  • an hour and a half lecture to a large group, appropriate for all musicians, or targeting a specific group.
  • a 3 hour presentation for a medium to small group, including discussion the last 1/2 hour and a break in the middle
  • in two parts: 2 hour lecture for up to about 30 people, with a break (possibly for lunch), followed by a 2 hour workshop exploring ways of applying the tips given in the lecture

Seminars

  • Lectures and workshops can be chosen to be presented over more than one day and include different topics
  • Presentations can be interspersed with private Individual Artist Consultations.

Funding

  • There are sources for not-for-profit entities to receive matching funds for these presentations by a "consultant". Most State Arts Agencies (www.nasaa-arts.org/aoa/saadir.shtml) have fast track small grants for these purposes.
